Kent Willis
Kent Willis joins Lon Morris College as head cross-country coach and also serves as Athletic Coordinator. He received his Bachelors degree in Communication Studies in May 2008 from Stephen F. Austin State University. At SFA, Kent was very involved in the campus.
Kent grew up in Grapeland, TX and has one brother (Justin) and one sister (Christy). Christy is a freshman on the Lon Morris Women's Basketball team and Justin is a senior baseball player at Jarvis Christian College.
"To me, coaching is not a job, it's a calling. The opportunity to coach at Lon Morris is truly a blessing." said Willis upon his appointment. "Running is all about achieving a greater goal and pushing yourself to go beyond what you can see. It is my goal to help my runners gain mental and physical toughness that will not only allow them to be strong runners but they will be stronger citizens."
