Kent Willis

Kent Willis joined Lon Morris College as head cross-country coach and also served as Athletic Coordinator. In June 2011, Kent was promoted to Dean of Students, and is currently over the Student Life Departments at LMC.

Willis holds a Master of Education from East Central University and a graduate certificate in non-profit management from Texas A&M.  He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, where he served as Student Body President.

Kent grew up in Grapeland, TX and has one brother (Justin) and one sister (Christy). Christy is a Lon Morris Women's Basketball team alum and Justin played baseball at Jarvis Christian College.

“I am excited about the opportunity," Willis said. "From the moment I stepped on campus, I was impressed with the friendly atmosphere, and the history of the College. The opportunity of working with Dr. (Miles) McCall and Dr. Gallegos, as well as the students, parents, and community members only enhanced that feeling.
